Completely different from the last two books but still great. Even though Her Mad Hatter was a little dark, there was still some funny parts, not here though. There’s no laughing in this book, well there is a little bit near the end.

This one is dark and a bit of a journey, so while it’s longer than the others, it doesn’t feel that long. I even finished it in a day because I was just so engaged with it.

I think the author made the journey just long enough to not bore the readers.

While I loved Her Mad Hatter and Gerard’s Beauty for being light hearted and funny while also being high emotional, I really liked the change up to the dark side of it.
